The Weddings Today survey revealed the average age of brides and grooms in the UK is 31 for bride and 33 for grooms.
AVERAGE TIME SPENT WEDDING PLANNING
Couples are getting engaged after four to seven years together and on average, they’re spending between seven and 12 months planning their wedding. Top google searches for finding a venue are wedding venues, wedding venues near me, wedding reception venues, civil wedding venue.
WHO ARE THEY?
The average couple in the UK is in their early 30s and thy don’t tend to have children together, before marriage (68% of couples are child-free). 13% of brides and grooms have children together before marriage and a further 13% had at least one child from a previous relationship.
MEETING AND GETTING ENGAGED
There is a vast variety in ways couples are meeting today. 18% meet at work, 17% meet at the pub or club, 17% meet whilst in education and 2% marry their holiday romance. 15% of couple meet online through dating websites/apps with tinder leading the way generating a massive 7% of happy couples.
STICKING TO TRADITION
