Wedding Venue Q&A . . . Part 4

We are ending February and our run of Q&A blog posts with part 4. . . the finale! We hope you have enjoyed our posts, and hope our answers have helped making a crucial decision to your wedding day. We understand booking your wedding venue can be a difficult choice, especially when there are so many Staffordshire Wedding venues to choose from. But with a little bit of insight, we hope any questions you may have had have now been answered!

What are the guidelines or restrictions on decorations and extras?
As an independent wedding venue and family run hotel, we are not working to strict company policy rules. Any request, however bizarre, can be reviewed and discussed by the management team. All of our wedding packages include chair covers and a coloured sash of your choice. These are done by one of our three partnered venue dressers, you have the option to have a consultation with all three before making any decisions. All of their details can be found in our supplier directory. They will also be able to give you tips and suggestions of extras you can add. The only restrictions we set are no fireworks and no Chinese lanterns. This is purely to protect the farmland and wildlife we are lucky enough to be surrounded by as a countryside wedding venue. 

What entertainment is available?
There is nothing included in our packages therefore allowing you total freedom to book the evening entertainment that works for you and your guests. We do have an amazing resident DJ company we can book for you, however this is not a requirement. You are more than welcome to book your own entertainment if you would prefer. Just remember we have a late drinking license so who or whatever you book needs to be prepared to keep the party going until 1am. Anything from bands to jukeboxes can create a great party atmosphere for your evening wedding reception.

Lets talk logistics
Hopefully you now have a pretty good idea of how things work here at The Moat House. We are here to make sure your wedding day is perfect to you, and meets all of your needs. One thing to remember is the wedding team are always on hand! Never apologise for asking questions and remember there are no silly questions! If you’re unsure and we have the answer please ask. We love what we do and we want you to enjoy the planning process as much as the big day!
