Wedding Venues Q&A

One of the first stages of the wedding planning process is finding the Wedding Venue of your dreams. Here at The Moat House, we aim to make your wedding dreams come true. As a Staffordshire Wedding Venue we are at the heart of the County. Here we answer some of the most important questions you should ask before booking your wedding venue.

How many guests can you accommodate at your venue?
Our stunning Colin Lewis Suite can accommodate up to 65 guests for a civil ceremony and up to around 40 for wedding breakfast and evening reception.
Our Acton Suite can accommodate 130 for a civil ceremony and wedding breakfast and up to 200 for the evening reception.

Does the cost of the venue include everything?
In short, YES! Our packages include everything from arrival drinks and nibbles, a 3 course wedding breakfast, 1 glass of wine and 1 glass of prosecco per person, tea and coffee and the evening buffet. Plus lots of little extras including, chair covers and coloured sashes, bridal suite, cake stand and knife.

What are the payment plan options?
As a wedding venue we have the following payment terms. An initial £500.00 deposit will be needed to secure a booking, this is paid within 14 days of reserving the date. £2500.00 is then due in the February of the year you get married. 70% of remaining balance is due 3 month prior to the wedding. Final balance due 14 days prior.

How can payments be made?
Payments can be made a number of ways. Either over the phone where one of our friendly office team will assist with the payment. You can also pay via BACS  using your names and wedding date as the payment reference. And of course there is the good old fashioned cash payment in person. We can accept cheques for any other payment other than your final.

We have just scratched the surface of those all important questions every bride and groom should be asking their hotel wedding venue. If you have any burning questions you would like us answer either on here or directly please use the contact tab and speak to a member of the team. Our next wedding blog post will cover another list of questions we think you need to know before making one of the biggest wedding decisions. Until then . . .happy wedding planning. From all at The Moat House, Acton Trussell.
